Description
Most day trips to Pompei from Rome take 12 or more hours and involve 6 to 8 hours sitting on a cramped bus.
This all-inclusive tour by high-speed train is the utmost in comfort, quality and convenience. Reach Naples in one hour, and from there in only 35 minutes by coach we arrive at Pompeii where your expert local guide will amaze you during a walking tour of this city devastated by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79.
Experience a world frozen in time as you stroll along the cobblestone ancient roads where perfectly conserved ancient bakeries, shops, stalls, residences, public baths and even brothels remain! Take in the tragic plaster casts of the Pompeiians who were immortalized on that devastating day by pyroclastic flow and ash.
Upon conclusion of the guided tour you'll enjoy a tasting of four of the wines produced in the fertile volcanic soil of Mt. Vesuvius followed by an abundance of antipasti, a first course and dessert before returning to Naples for your return trip.

Victoria was a fantastic tour guide! Her love for Pompeii was so clear and she made sure our group saw all the highlights and a few extras that were her favorite spots. She always made sure the group was together and was very accommodating to mobility issues. She made the visit to Pompeii so meaningful.
The high speed train was great - we were in Naples in no time and the vineyard tasting was delicious. Definitely take this tour. It is worth the investment to not need to worry about getting to Pompeii and having someone give you all the incredible history of the site

This was a great experience all the way round. The train trip down and back was very comfortable, the tour of Pompeii was great, and the time at the winery was delightful. Paola was our guide and she was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this tour!

The train was very efficient. Leave extra time to find the meeting place inside the train station.
Once off the train we met our group again for a 20 minute bus ride to the entrance of Pompeii. It was raining on and off and we still enjoyed ourselves. Our guide was great and we met nice people in our group. It’s a fascinating place that shouldn’t be missed. We then went for a wine tasting and lunch which was fun. Not cheap wine or food. If you have a great time in the pouring rain then it’s a great tour!
