Viator cancelled our trip the day before and said the Vatican cancelled our tickets but I believe it was just a case of Viator not having checked availability and booked them when they took my booking such that there were none available by the time they tried to book them for us.
This was not ‘skipping the line’.

Skip the line option adverted by the tour operator was misleading, confusing and incorrect! This was not ‘skipping the line’. We arrived at the meeting point around 7.40am, I had booked the 8am time slot, however, we still had not received the tickets by then (very worrying few moments!). Upon receiving the tickets via WhatApps at 7.55am, I noticed that our entry time was 8.30am, I was not happy with this change. Information from the tour operator, Rome City Tours, was misleading and incorrect! They informed us that we can enter from 8.10am, however, museum staff informed us that we had to wait in the 8.30am queue to enter. Once inside, the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel are amazing, although very crowded, however, I can’t recommend this tour operator.

It's around 3-4 hr time to see all of vatican museum. It's recommended to stop for some food and breaks along the route.
But, You cannot have breaks when in tour

The ticket was 100% worth it to avoid the large queues at the Vatican, I wish they had them in more museums as they enhanced the experience ten-fold.
